First cold hunt....

It's stopped raining but the temps are now down in the 40's.
I was only able to hunt for about 2.5 hours.
(24)= quarters
(12)=dimes
(30)= pennies
I hunted the whole time on about 76 discrim. I found 1 small bracelet but I'm sure it is plated and for a small child, and another tag for a dog. I've found a lot of these which I have not been bothering to post same as keys.

Jim... I believe you are using a fisher gold bug pro?... If so, my thought is while you may be finding the dimes and
quarters (but likely finding more copper pennies with an occasional zinc?). Wth your discrimination set at 76 you could
be missing any "golden" jewlery items as well as nickels? Also as you know dog tags are collectable, so be sure to save them.

Yes I know that but when your that cold.... do you wanna dig a poop load of bottle caps, screw caps and foil ?
Remember that the gold is 1 out of 1000 targets so when your going to hit a target rich park.....taking as much value as I can is a bigger and better priority.
So far this month my average is 8.85 a trip.
What ou do not see from this park hunts is that I have loads of trash I been bring home. Keys, can parts, aluminum, batteries, foil, a few hot wheels,

No I did not know. But my wife was complaining that it was warmer here in NY than where she is in Palmdale . Now she should be happy. It got cold in a hurry. Hope to keep hunting, but the knees are getting sorer.

Jim keep digging and you will clean that park up in a matter of no time. Good luck with the cold.
