Spring is here in Southern Wisconsin, actually the grass is starting to green up and I should hit some of my favorite spots before it grows too much.
I didn't like the first first coin(s) I found this year so I just kept on trying.
Went to a park that I have hit fairly hard over the years, was surprised to get some good signals.
So my first coin of the year was an Indian head cent, rescanned the hole and dug my first coin of the year from the same hole, another IH. And just a few feet along the river bank got another hit and dug my first coin of the year, an indian head cent. This a good start to the year, I thought. I kept on swinging, wondering what the my first coin of 2014 would be and got a signal. Dug down and up came an IH.

As usual the ground here is kind to copper.
