First coin of 2015 1869 two center... Pics to follow...

Better than the usual 1940's wheatie. Ground is still frozen in places, wish I had done more research over the winter as springtime is prime time for detecting.

I got out yesterday for the first time this year. Was able to get down 4 to 5 inches before I hit frost. Congrats on your two-center !
 
Not a bad start....

Two center is 1869 the the 1856 coin is a French 5 centimes. Three IH's, two sleigh bells, a silver thimble with a name engraved, and an old single piece button that has a back mark that I can't quite make out. And one of the wheats I found was a semi key date: 1926-S in quite nice shape.

We have a 70 degree day forecasted for tomorrow then colder for a spell, but I don't think the ground will refreeze, so I hope to get out often before the grass begins to grow.

Sounds like we got more snow than you guys and we've even been a little colder lately. Looks like you guys are headed back into the freezer real soon.
