First Buff...

REVIER

Well-known member
I have concentrated on being a good jewelry hunter for the last 4 years and have accomplished that goal, or at least have been pretty lucky considering the amount of silver and gold I have found with several different detectors.

This year I decided to switch things up a bit, hit more older woods and other sites and look for older coins this year to become a more well rounded hunter.
Even though I have come across a few silver and other older coins in the past, that too has been luck and my wish list is still very long.
In the nickel area I found a V nickel last year, my first war nickel a few months ago but a Buff has always eluded me.
The other day I finally found one, and joy of joys my first one even has a legible date you can read!

I hope a shield nickel can pop up for me sometime this year and then I would be thrilled, real Hobo nickel would be icing on the cake.
Of course I still expect to dig up that 6th 1913 V nickel one day soon, also.

Some dream of greatness...some just dream.

Those that you mentioned are all on my "still to find list" great find on the Buffalo

Congratulations! :clapping: Yeah, a genuine hobo nickel would be quite a trophy!

Yep.
It was a real trash pit, a well used picnic area in an old park with all kinds of trash around it, but the F70 sniffed it out easily.

When I find Buff's they are alway's roached! You got a nice one there! Congrats and HH
