well folks going to the gulf coast last weekend paid off with exactly 28 cents, 1 quarter and 3 pennies nothing old. I did get some experience and was really surprised I used pattern downloaded for jewelry and gold with just a slight modifying for coins ( just opened the silver a little). The quarter was right on top of the ground maybe a half inch of sand over it, but the pennies were deep very deep! one at around a foot, one at 14 to 15 and the other was closer to 17 to 18 inches down. It must have been the sand being so dry down to about 8" then it started having a little moisture to it. Anyways those depths surprised mean. The biggest fault I saw besides all the distractions that had nothing to do with metal detecting, was seeing the screen in bright sun. Someone has got to come up with a sunshade ,going at night would be great. If anyone has any ideas throw them my way please. I was taking off my glasses holding my hands over the screen and still couldn't see it well. Needless to say I'm sure I passed up some targets that I should have dug. You can't always go by just audio on those iffy targets. Thanks to all who have put the info on here for others every little bit helps I couldn't have made 28 cents the fun way without it. Thank you
