GTP 1350 i'll use salt elimination but......
should i run in all metal and dig everything?
run in jewelry mode?
i'm mainly after any kind of jewelry..gold or silver.
I want to hear all your thoughts!!! also...can i hunt the shallow water with the stock coil? Thanks guys!!!

I would hunt in the jewelry mode and dig the solid beeps, you can wade in the water just becareful not to splash the control housing, I would use a glad bag to cover it, oh bring a long handle sand scoop it will save your back and well worth the money! Good luck hitting the beach,HHH

Your welcome.

I use the ace350 and love it, just can't wrong with a Garrett!

I would almost dig everything, except maybe the 2-3 notches on both end of the scale. what better way to learn how your detector acts and ID's targets in the sand. Remember, for better success, retrieve your targets quickly. :)

I guess I'm chimin' in a little late on this, but I agree with what John says. Also, you might not want to use the Salt Elimination feature because it can cause the detector to lose sensetivity to smaller gold. Another thing, don't even try to use the pinpoint button in the wet sand, because the detector will sound off anywhere that the sand is wet due to it's conductivity. Just use the old X marks the spot pinpointing method without actually pressing the pinpoint button. I'd also get a bigger search coil for the beach, too. I use the 10"x14" DD Excelerator that's made for Ace series on my GTAx1250. It works great, Excellent target seperation and depth. Oh yeah, and of course, get a long handled scoop. Have fun! Happy Hunting!:)
