First Barber Quarter

I finally found my first Barber Quarter (1899). In was in my old park that I have been hunting for almost a year. After reading one of Diggers posts recommending to hunt the edge between the grass and the sidewalk, I decided to do it and scored this beauty. I also got a lot of nice signals but unfortunately, they were buried in the middle of the sidewalk.

Congratulations on the Barber!
Too bad that the front isn't as nice as the back, but that often seems the case. Great find none the less. I love Barbers.
Truth be told, I like any of 'em that are older than me. ;)

Nice find!

My first and only Barber was a dime, found in a park that our family has hunted in for over 30 years. I'm still shocked!

Good job!

That is a really nice coin. I would have done the happy dance for an hour after that one.

Cool, I can't wait to dig my first Barber quarter

Always nice to see those big silver coins come from areas where we've been before! Gives us confidence that, although we've already found lots of coins, we'll likely to find more if we just keep at it. Congrats! Glad you are finding some of my suggestions useful. HH Randy

very nice. I've been hunting the area close to the edge of sidwalks and curbs also. Haven't found a barber, but have found some coins. Great suggestion Digger!
