First Barber of the Year !

Back to the same trashy old city park where I dug the '48-D quarter Sunday and hit for silver #2 for the year, a nice 1909 Barber dime. Was a good solid hit I thought had a chance to be deep silver and sure enough, from about 8-9 inches down I pulled out the dime. Was in an area Mark was detecting on Sunday. Glad he left this one for me ! Also dug a green 1891 indian head cent so thick with slime that the only visible detail was the date.

WTG Ed, I can't wait to put on the WOT and hit that park when there's no football going on. I'm sure Charles didn't get it all....
