First Barber of the Year !

High grass in our parks forced us down off the hills on to the athletic fields yesterday. They weren't much better but I was able to put my coil over the 1908-D Barber dime. Also dug a shallow pocket spill with a 1944-P war nickel and 3 wheat cents. The 4 coins were no more than a couple inches deep. Hit a different park today and came away with the V nickel, well worn 1864 indian head cent and another war nickel (1943-P). The no date Buffalo was from a rain shortened hunt on Friday. Park Pirate nabbed some silver today close to where I dug a mercury dime last weekend.

Very nice finds. Grass is very high here also, I had to hunt in the shady areas where it wasn't so thick. I need to find a barber dime this year. Congrats.
