First Bandido Coil Question Please

RELIC_HUNTER

New member
I just purchased this machine and will be using it for relic hunting..Instead of me buying all the coils that fit this machine, I would like to ask, anyone have any input on a couple of coils I need to look at.....

Howdy RELIC HUNTER
First off I would like to ask you if you have the original white 8" coil that came stock with the Bandido. This coil is plenty deep for relic hunting coin sized targets such as buttons, knap sack hooks and similar small stuff.
I have had the fist bandido that i bought used for some time, and having said that, I want to state that I have never been relic hunting. I live in Kansas and coin hunt for the most part, but I have found some relics such as eagle buttons.
Getting back on the coil subject, I think the 8" coil that comes with the Bandido would be a good start. I don't have any thing larger than the 8" coil for my Tesoros, but I have the 4" the 5&3/4" and 7" concentric coils, and they do fine for the trashy spots that I hunt in.Have a good'n .............Hombre

I think Hombre is pretty much right. I've found the tesoro coils around 8" work pretty well.

The coil that came with it was the thick white 9" concentric.

Howdy buster

I don't know about yours, but mine came with a thin white 8" coil with a white protective cover. Rusty at Tesoro says that it is the orig. coil that came with these units. Except mine has the short coil cable, they came with a long coil cable so the unit could be "hip mounted".
I've had mine since 2002 and it was 10 yrs. old then. Earlier this year I sent the my Bandido { first model } in to Tesoro to have it checked out. They fixed my 4" coil and did an inspection of it in 2 weeks time! Tesoro is FANTASTICK!!!!!........Hombre
