and first time posting on this forum but some of ya probably know me from the Explorer forum.
I just bought me a Canon G3 and so far so good. It makes my old HP look like a toy. 4.0 mega pixels, and a total of 14x zoom. This is the very first shot I took with it and I think it did a great job. I need to play around with the white balance and get some better lights set up but eventually I will figure it out.

This pic was taken from accros the park and zoomed in all the way. Its just a small portion of the large pic that I cropped out. Its a little fuzzy but considering the distance I took the pic from it turned out pretty good.

Anyone have some tip for setting the White Balance and what kind of lights work best for taking the pics of coins.
I have always loved photography and I think I am really gonna have some fun with this camera. I have already orded a telephoto, wide angle, and macro lens. I cant wait for spring to get here so I can get out and take some good nature pics <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT="">
