First AT PRO impressions.

Heavy. I'll qualify that by saying the only detectors I've used in the lat 8 years have been Tesoros, Deus, X5, Euro Pro.

Built like a tank.

Rubber washers style between coil ears are silly. Took me 15 minutes to figure out that they have reference holes in them.

Pleasant sound.

The 11" DD is huge. Too big for normal every day detecting. Fortunatey, I also ordered the 9" concentric. Perfect. Looks smller than 9" but it is 8 and 15/16 inch.

If you use the coil cover beware they seem to break easily. Anyone know any easy way to remove them??

Get the 5x8" DD for the weight and size problem!

I myself am glad they have the washers keeps the coil in right position and keeps you from damaging the ears of the coil.

well I can tell you that I have my AT Pro for 4 years now. It is not too heavy or cumbersome. my 6 year old grand daughter uses it when we are at the beach...

Order extra coil covers. As you found they crack apart when you try to remove them. I'm on my third one in 2 years for the big coil. I might have been on my 4th or more but I used some electrical tape wrapped on the last cover to hold the chips and cracks in place for a while. they crap out even without trying to remove them so I'm leaving them on as long as I can.
I'm going to start the season with 2 backup covers for the 11x8 and 1 for the 8x5.
