went out with my xlt but found this arrowhead on top of the ground in an old tobacco patch. believe it is an adena. first one ever. made my day. my partner found a flint hide scraper. it has rained since then and we are going back tomorrow. hope to find more to post.

I started collecting points when I was six. Good hunting, David@Dixie

That's very interesting Sonny. I've never seen an arrowhead here before. We tend to have Aboriginal artifacts to your Indian ones. But I've never found one yet. :) Are they always made of flint. or some other stone as well?

Hi Angela. Here's the scoop I have just received. Hope it is right. For centuries the indians used flint, then copper, then came iron from settlers from Europe in their iron pots, etc., then trade arrowheads (?),. Then the first guns arrived on the scene and like they say "the rest is history". If anyone knows any differently then I will stand corrected. Hope you make your first find b4 long. HH Sonny

Now's a great time to hunt for indian artifacts. the farmer disced the field about 3 days ago and then a good rain hit. Went back today and found a lot of broken flint, 2 hide scrapers, and a 1900's style military button. My TH partner, flynndfx40, found 2 flat buttons, part of a spur, and part of a flint knife. I also found a 1906 IH and he found a 1860 fat IH. Waiting for another good rain now. By the way, saw one of your Dixie Metal Detector hats on one of the forums, neat looking hat.
