First and Second Trip w/ATP

First day I went to the local park that I picked day after xmas with a Cobra (I returned, hence the ATP) and picked a few Lincolns and that was it. Went back the second day with a better idea of how these ATP's work. Did better, got a Wheat and a dime as well as a few Lincolns. Not spectacular but the learning curve is improving. Have to say the answers to others questions on this forum have also helped greatly. Like everyone else the whole tone thing is what you have to get use to.

Found changing modes listening to tones and watching the cursor also help the brain figure out what the machine was telling me. Gonna take some time to get this ATP figured out.

Looks like the AT and Thee are working well together. The great finds will soon be showing up in your goody bag!

Yep, try to work with Pro Zero, 35-40 dis, sens what you can tolerate. Great way to learn. Throw a hand full of coins, say in sand, short grass. Now you have a reason to hunt them out.
Sound risky, not really their not going anywhere. Cheap way of learning.

once you get used to it you can even identify ( most) rotted pennies. I don't even dig them.

It is amazing how jacked up the pennies get down deep. Looks like someone put battery acid on them. Looking forward to another day at the park. Think we are getting rain and snow this weekend so it might be a bit before I will get back out.
