First Alberta hunt of 2013

Got out today for a few hours and played in the few areas where the snow has cleared away. It felt great to be out digging again and the Deleon was working it's magic as usual. The gold plated bracelet had me going at first LOL. I was happy to end the day with a few oldies including two silver coins. A nice start to the season here.

Here's the loot....

Nice going Scott,

Glad you got thawed out..... nice silvers, I found a 1898 Canadian dime one time, it read on the meter just like our silver dimes.

..I have heard that the Canadian clad is nickel plated steel. I'm guessing they are hard to pick up with with the Deleon unless you run low to min. disc., never found any here in the states. Not sure what your clad would read on the Deleon, but the Deleon sure is a sweet coin vacuum.

Hi there Scott. Long time no talk. I'm getting back at it and just trying to peg down a couple machines. The club here in Calgary seems like an active bunch and has an active FB page. Nice first haul. Bob

Hi Bob, good to hear from you. The Calgary club has been around a long time and seems very successful, I didn't know they had a facebook page though.

Edmonton started up a club last year which has grown very quickly. They are a real good bunch and I've enjoyed being part of it. The Calgary & Edmonton club had a joint hunt last fall which really went well. I believe it will be an annual thing now.

I would say a great start to the season, I am shut down by 8" of snow

Good finds Scott! Nice to hear that Edmonton has an active club!
I have been out of the loop! Keep me in touch with the activities, as the Calgary club does. Hope to catch up with u this summer!....

Yeah, that would make day finding all that good stuff. Way to go!
