First 30 min hunt of 2012 gets me 2 buffaloes...

First hunt of the new year. I had to cut it short because a badly sprained digging wrist, hurt it looking for a serial killers hideout. Gain was turned down around 10 because of 2 buried power lines and the recovery delay at 40. I have a tremendous amount of trash in my yard and was using the 5.3 coil.

One was 3" and the other 5", and they where completely mixed with nails and foil all around. The one at 5" locked on nice and I knew it was another one.

Not much to look at but the dates appear to be 1916-18 and the other looks like the 20's. I will soak em in hydrogen peroxide that has been heated. They are toasted but I have only found 3 of them in all my years detecting....... I have found more gold than buffaloes.

I'd take gold over Buffalo's--what coil were you using that you picked them out from the trashy ground in which they were located in

You did good with that 5.3 coil.
