First 2 dollars coins found

TRIPLE-SSS

Well-known member
I went to the beach yesterday and found my first 2 dollar coins, 1979 Susan b Anthony and a 1986 silver eagle.
Found these as well; 16 Quarters 26 dimes 4 nickles 53 pennies 3 toy miniature cars 2 cigarette lighters 6 sinkers stopped counting the tabs and cans buried over 12 inches.
I spend about 6 hours on the beach, rained like hell off and on last 2 days. , Some of the beach was eroded from all the wash out from the rain. That's where I found my 2 dollar coins.
Sorry I don't have pictures to show you, don't even know to use a camera, from the old school, when daughter comes over , will give you an updated picture of finds to date.
HAPPY HUNTING

The weird coin that you found are a coin we find here quite often..
These have been in circulation for about 5 plus years when they decided to do away with the paper bills.
Find them here all the time which helps your clad totals go up fast.
They are known here as toonies.
We also have a dollar coin known as a loonie which has the picture of the bird called the Loon hence the name.
This bird inhabits Canada's north and northern United States,

hello willia, didn't find the camels, but your right, it was Galveston, east beach and by 61st. st.If I do find those camels, I'll let you know.
GOOD HUNTING,
Stan from TX.

Hello Micro, It may sound like luck, but true. Here are some tips if your real serious about finding coins. Scan your area patiently. Don't hop all over the place, You'll miss alot of targets. Know your signals, what is trash and what is worth digging. I use a home made sifter when digging up the sand, gives me more time to scan. I take a couple water bottles with me so I can stay on the beach longer. If you do all of these and stay persistent and focused, the rest is history.
GOOD NUNTING.
P. S. I only focus on the high traffic areas and ignore the other ones.
