FIRST 2 CENT COIN 1865

Back at Burnett Woods hunting a few hours. Only coin was my first 2 cent coin 1865, V.D.I was 84-85 about 6'' down. Hunting with T-2, setting sens-99, disc-51, tone-1.

Wow, looks like a beautiful coin. I can't believe how nice it looks for being dug. The soil was kind to this one. I love two centers, haven't found many, but always nice.

Nice find, the one I dug up earlier in the year came in as a weird sounding zincoln, about 2 inches down in an old fairground. Those coins are awesome :)
 
Pictures are a little small, but not hard to tell you got a super coin there
I did find one this season,1864 yes in nova scotia, but it is just barely readable.
 
Congratulations cintitomcat! Beautiful coin. We have some excellent and historical parks around Cincy. I have a T2 on the way - may have to wait until next spring to join you.
