Firmware Upgrade Warning

You MUST upgrade the firmware on the CTX-3030 BEFORE upgrading the Xchange 2 software. I made the mistake of installing the newer version of the Xchange 2 software and was not able to upgrade the firmware on the CTX-3030. When I connected the detector with the older version of the firmware to the newer version of the Xchange 2, I got an error message telling me my firmware was out of date and would not let me connect.

If you make the same mistake I made you will first need to uninstall the upgraded XChange 2 software, and re-install the earlier version supplied on the disk that came with the unit.

I did the software first and then the machine with no issues and a friends the same way. Hopefully just a fluke for you.

Yes, updated my exchange software first, then when all done, my CTX last. I believe you needed to do it this way...new version of exchange was needed to deploy and install latest version of detector firmware.

Unless what I think worked did not....

I wish ML would put an about menu item to display system info and versioning...like any other software driven device these days...
