27 clad quarters, 13 dimes , 59 pennies 12 wheats 2 Indian heads 4 nickels 1 Mercury dime first silver! 1 war nickel 3 buttons and 5 buckles! Can't wait to go out and explore somewhere other than my house!

I live in a house from the 1800s with 8 acres of land. Used to be a midwives house and a farm. I have not scratched the surface! I need help haha.

The more you swing it....the better it'll get! Congrats...

Well JG if you need help I(and I'm sure a few others) would love to oblige. But something tells me you(and your Etrac) can handle it.

I have had mine about 2 months now and I keep saying it but it is awesome. The only thing that I can even complain about is the pin pointing on it but I usually wiggle my detector to find the center so I rarely use pin point. It has plenty of depth and will pick up a soda can easily at 12" and even deeper but I am getting to recognize the cans by the volume of the tone when it shows a 12 - 46 and deep. There is a big difference between the volume of a can and a quarter in my opinion anyway. I am still a novice with it but it does what I want. Being 71 yrs old I hate to drop to the ground for a penny but I do it often. Where I live a penny will ring up anywhere from 39 to 45.

I am practicing with different programs but it's hard to beat the stock mine lab programs unless you hunt open screen and tweak it.

Places to hunt are few around here unless I go to the beach but so many tourists hunt the beach a 2 hour hunt may only net you $1 or less. Rings are few and far between as well. I do my best in tot lots and sports fields but won't hunt baseball fields.

I am very new to e trac as well. Had a gti 2500 pro and missed everything. High iron content in the ground here lots of trash I know there has to be a ton of coins. Marked on 4 seated today 2 halfs and two dimes also a half cent.

Got a few more Wheats today too! You guys should see all the holes in my yard. I can't upload pictures from my phone it doesn't let me!

Holes ???? We shouldn't see any holes !!!! ..... LoL...... You're suppose to be learning how to make a correct plug so you can't even tell you ever been there digging. Thank goodness it is your own yard and not a city park. Enjoy your new E-Trac

:clapping: awesome John....youll keep getting better, im sure theres more silver in your yard too....

I believe so too. The amount of iron is pretty bad. You dig a signal and you get 6 nails and a wheat trying to get ttf a little better going to dig any good ones

I assume by sports fields you mean soccer fields, if so why will you hunt them but not ball fields. I hunt them all but I wait til the season is over before I go on the actual playing fields and do any digging.

Congrats on the great finds ! :clapping:

OMG you found 2 seated halfs in your yard????? NICE!!
