Went back to the woods where I picked up the 1827 large cent. Only had one solid coin reading and that was a 1920 wheat. I got a very deep signal that bounced around but was always audible and dug it. That was a 1908 indian. My next totally iffy signal and also deep was a 1902 V nickel. BUT the very best find in the woods that even shocked my hunting partner and it was a signal that even bounced to iron but with the discrimination set I doubted it, turned out to be a 14K ring from the University of Acron Ohio from 1925. 6th oldest ring I have found with dates on them.
My friend got 3 wheats. Again lots of fun. This ring is 5.4 grams.
Will put pictures up tomorrow. I am still glad I dig iffy signals, even though I got about 12 pull tabs today.
