Went to one of my favorite spots over the weekend and with almost every dig, something interesting came out of the soil. Found: a pocket knife, MARKSMAN award piece, locket or compact hinged cover with geometric designs, pocket watch cover, nice black marble, old glass buttons with the sand imprints on the back, 16ga Winchester Repeater shell, 38 WCF W.R.A.Co. cartridge, a 30-06 cartridge that's heavy and misfired(rusty where the bullet should be), other brass odds and ends, the nice Sterling pin with a date of '12 on it, the aqua bottle, and a 1999 10K L.B.J. HS Johnson City Eagles class ring. I have the owners name and will contact him or his family soon. Can't wait to see the reaction. I usually don't post the large finds, but went ahead this time.
