Finds from Yesterday and Today with Eagle Spectrum

Went detecting yesterday and today at a buddies apartment because the weather is finally starting to get a little better here in NY. I decided to bring along my Whites Eagle Spectrum to try because I normally use a different machine, but I picked up the Eagle Spectrum for cheap a while back. For 20 years old the machine still works pretty dang well. The site is pretty trashy so that was tough trying to distinguish the tones because they were just jumping around, but I'm getting the hang of it....so on to the finds. I managed to find a 1963 Rosie, a 1941 Merc, and a 1943 Merc, a 1954 Dog tag, a little thing of cologne? (with stuff still in it), a Womans Brooch pin (which doesn't have any markings to my knowledge), and a slaymaker super lock with door hinge still attached...My buddy had the best find though..a 1936 D Silver Quarter.

One more:

good hunt! nice to see the silver, especially the merc's some good relics too.
HH Ed in colo.

Why did your buddy have the better find? You found 30 cents, he found a quarter?!?!
Ha!

In the red book, a 1936 D silver quarter is worth $55 in ef-40 condition...his is pretty close to that

Thanks

Can't wait to find more

Nice finds, but you need to exercise a bit of caution when you pull them out of the ground. If it happened to be a rare date Merc you just rubbed away hundreds of dollars in value by rubbing the dirt off. Nice finds though and it's always a good day when you find more than one piece of silver.
