I was working, ahem, so I only hunted about 20 minutes, on my lunch break, without loss of productivity. Yah. That was long enough to hunt the small area that I had to cover. I dug up some junk as well, but here is the good stuff.
First find was this salt shaker top. At first I thought it was junk, but the word "Sterling" was visible on the side along with a hallmark. Silver is silver, right? From the design and the hallmark it looks old to me. The original owners of the home were well to do.

I was digging anything that beeped and found these four jacks. I can almost see the little girl playing with these back when her Daddy might have been off fighting WW1. I like 'um. I can remember my sister leaving ones like this in the hallway to the bathroom at night. They had an effect somewhat like a claymore when stepped on in the dark with bare feet.

I really like this pin. The back clasp is still as good as new. The Modern Health Crusader was like a club in grade school that promoted good health and healthy living like eating vegetables, drinking plenty of water, getting enough sleep, staying out of Dads booze, and stuff like that. I have a pin and a certificate that belonged to my uncle when he was a kid. His is dated 1929 and the pin is more modern looking than this one. I think it must be from the teens or early 20's, but I ain't sure.

When I first found this tag I thought it was a large cent. It is the same size and made of copper. The thing was really cruddy and the hole was not visible. I do not know what it is. The back has a big number 5 on it.I assume it might be for a key or something. It says "Too Check: and that spelling of too would be wrong.

I was hoping for at least one coin, and this is a good one for around here. Indians are hard to come by.

No Idaho hunt would be complete without at least one loaded round of ammunition. This is a UMC 22 long, unfired.

I did not get rich today, but the finds all tell me a story of everyday life. That alone made it all worth it to cough up the spiderwebs and dust of this old place. Heck, I was already down there plumbing so why not have a little fun! DC
