The weather here has not been cooperating much for the past week, one minute it is 68 degrees then snowing the next. It has been raining all day & did for most of the night, 1 to 3" of snow for tonight. Even with the weather I have been able to get out for a few hours, mostly trying out a 12" coil to see how it compares to the 6x10. I have used both & have been able to find a few treasures. 13 wheat's 1919 being the oldest 3 nickles 1940 43 & 44, a 1936 Ariz. tax token, an antique toy lip stick tube & two rings. At first I thought I had my first two gold day but when I got home & cleaned them up I found one to be old but fake, My wife would have loved it to be real as she really likes the ruby heart. The other ring is 10k & with a sign ( The Mccabees ) I guess it is some sort of group like the Massons or the Elks. The house where I found the ring was sold but I know the owner so I will see if the ring belongs to his family.
It looks like my next hunt will be over the weekend thanks to the weather, hoping to get out & learn how to pin point with the12" & see if it is deeper than the 6x10. HH to all
