Finds from the last few hunts

The weather here has not been cooperating much for the past week, one minute it is 68 degrees then snowing the next. It has been raining all day & did for most of the night, 1 to 3" of snow for tonight. Even with the weather I have been able to get out for a few hours, mostly trying out a 12" coil to see how it compares to the 6x10. I have used both & have been able to find a few treasures. 13 wheat's 1919 being the oldest 3 nickles 1940 43 & 44, a 1936 Ariz. tax token, an antique toy lip stick tube & two rings. At first I thought I had my first two gold day but when I got home & cleaned them up I found one to be old but fake, My wife would have loved it to be real as she really likes the ruby heart. The other ring is 10k & with a sign ( The Mccabees ) I guess it is some sort of group like the Massons or the Elks. The house where I found the ring was sold but I know the owner so I will see if the ring belongs to his family.

It looks like my next hunt will be over the weekend thanks to the weather, hoping to get out & learn how to pin point with the12" & see if it is deeper than the 6x10. HH to all

Great finds....you talking 12INCH whites coil?..if so it seems to pinpoint dead on center..dont have 6x10 to compare depth though..have easily hit coins 6 inches plus.... CURT

2 more silver war nickels. :wiggle: It seems like they're coming out of the woodwork this year. I've found 2 and Larry has found 4 so far and now you've got two right there. Great finds and nice gold ring. I too would have really liked the ruby heart ring if it were real. Your wife has good taste. Thanks for posting and keep up the great detecting! HH, Nancy

Nice finds! Thanks for sharing.

At least you FOUND some rings. hey seem to be hiding from me. I went out again
tonight but this time with the Ace 250. Left the MXT at home. Lots of clad and sundry stuff, but
that ring seems to be one step ahead of me!

Most of the gold rings I have found came in the same as a nickle but these tow were different. The plated one hit at a solid 32 & the 10k a solid 42 I think it was more luck than experience.
