Finds include 2 dropped .69 cal. round balls, 1 dropped sm. cal. round ball, 1 carved pistol bullet, 1 twisted pc. of lead, several whatsits, 1 large pc. of lead, 2 percussion caps, a small flat button w/shank, a suspender adjuster, a 1912 wheat cent, a 1 1/2" iron shot ( canister or grape? ) and a ornate brass pc. ( gun part?). HH

Scott: I thought this was a watch or clock dial till I saw the bent ends. It is an indicator. Maybe it's part of a balance or spring scale. Just my guess. I'll keep this picture in my "stump the stars" folder till I figure out what it is.
