Not getting out as much as I'd like to but have managed a few finds over the past couple of weeks. Tried another area in the woods near my home today. Been avoiding it because of the amount of trash dug in there the first time 5-6 years ago. Zillions of glue tubes, pulltabs etc. etc..... Today I decided to dig any target past 4". The area was an orchard until just before WW1. The city bought the property and made a park. That was allowed to disintegrate during WW2 and now its just a place for boneheads to hang out. You can see some of the old apple trees in the 1st two pics. Still peonies and roses trying to survive in there.

Some odds and ends. The thing with the purple stone is the top of a hat pin. The religious medal and piece of earing are sterling.

Coins were pretty plentiful. The '88 Indian and the '19 buffalo nickel were part of a spill with the 1915 & '17 little nickles.

Last Friday I spent the day at the big site found in the spring. Its very overgrown in there now but still stuff to be had. Four small round shot and some decent buttons. Not sure what the wrought copper ring was for. The marble was laying where a friend was scraping a couple of months ago.

The only coins were an 1841 six pence (1st silver from there ) and an 1815 Navigation token made into a spinner. Be nice if that would clean up better but probably not without making it look all shiny.

Thanks for looking & hope everyone is getting out!
