Finds from new Permission

Hunting a vacant small town lot. The second dig was the Indian Cent, which appears to be a 1904. One area had three newer quarters just in about the same hole. A couple skeletonized watches. No use digging the curb strip because it was graveled at one point and too much work. A lady pulled up in a truck. I thought she must be the property manager the owner told me to call and notify I was digging there. I had called and left a message so I went introduced myself and asked if she was the property manager. She said she was just there to cut the grass. So I left so as not to be in her way, plus it was getting hot anyway, and little biting flies were out. Will try the back yard another day.

That silver has no shine at all, where in the country do you hunt and what are the ground conditions like there? Just curious about what environment would cause that. Down here in NOLA they usually stay bright and shiney

Good hunting there pplinker! I view every day that I dig an Indian Head Cent as a VERY GOOD day! Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!

Thank you Blind Squirrel. Indians are rare finds for me, too.

Herb Jones, are you talking about the CLAD silver in the photo? Because clad is always that color. The few real silvers I've dug are usually nice and white looking. I live in South Eastern West Virginia.

yeah inmisread that whole thing... i figured it out once i went back and reread and checked the pics..
