finds from my hunt on Saratoga battlefield today....

No I doubt they would even let you do that :) it would be nice to get in there tho. i guess a guy used to hunt it with the agreement he would donate all his finds, well I guess he found all kinds of amazing treasures and had to leave the state, fast, since he didn't donate as much as he was selling. maybe someday the laws will change, until then, i'll just keep searching for that hidden cache of gold coins.

Unless you protect the scanner bed glass with a piece of single strength window glass, eventually your scanner bed glass will become scratched from coins and other scanned finds. Its alot less expensive to get a new custom cut sized piece of glass at your local hardware store than to replace a scanner.

For safety, put masking tape or white duct tape on all four edges of the protecting piece of glass to keep from cutting your fingers as you place it on the scanner table glass and take it off.
