Finds From Last Weekend

These are my finds from a weekend fun hunt our club had at an area park. The pictures show my total finds from Friday, Saturday, and part of Sunday. I learned a valuable lesson about swing speed with the Etrac. I've hunted with the Etrac for a couple years and usually keep my swing speed fairly slow but to find some of the deep wheats I slowed my swing to about 5 seconds each way. The depth of some of the older wheats, one of the rings, and the sterling chain was in the 8 - 10 inch range. At my normal swing speed the deep targets just made a quick chirp when I passed over them and they also had to be almost dead center under my coil. At the much slower speed I was able to identify the deep targets easier. Yesterday I decided to try this again at a local park that has been hunted to death. I hit an area that I thought I had just about cleaned out. I pulled 5 wheats and an Indian cent out, all in the 7+ inch range. The VDI numbers were jumping all over the place on these but an occasional good number and the depth gauge said "dig me". The numbers on yesterdays Indian hit around 6-8/28-31. I was running in auto +3 and do not use noise cancel unless necessary.
