Finds from last few hunts before 11/1/19

Haven't posted in a while, but have hunted a few weekends lately. The pic with many relics came from a whole block of vacant lots. The weird thing about the ceramic doll body is that I recently found a pair of ceramic arms and legs in a burn pile at another site. They all match perfectly. I had to rescue the poor hognose snake. It had tangled its head up in some plastic mesh thrown down for erosion control.

What is the round brass object with 5 spokes in your first picture? You found some great treasures.

The hog nose is pitiful looking. Stepped on one last spring. I bet I jumped 3' high till I realized what it was.

You have some nice finds there and interesting to look at, but what most impressed me most about your post is that you saved the harmless snake... most people would have killed it.
I do not understand how people can be so afraid of snakes that are harmless.. never could.. ignorance I guess.
Anyhow, I love your finds.. the baggage tag is interesting.. I also found one the other day.
Good job in saving history and snakes!!!

It's a brass pulley.

Thanks. I love hognose snakes. They're hilarious. The tag came from The Benford Hotel in Benford, Texas. It existed from 1889-1924 during a lumber boom.

Thanks for the information on the tag.. mine is exactly the same size and style as yours.
I can’t find any information though... may be older than I thought.
