Finds from last 2 times out...

brandon

New member
The Large cent was found by Donnie in the woods by a cemetary
The hunter button was found at the same site as the iron button with what looks like a letter or number on it (ID HELP?)
The four buttons came out of a 17-1800's era home (that X5 works nice in heavy trash)
Any ideas on the cherub relic?
Thanks for looking!

someone is there to catch you. It is a very special day when you unearth one. I have found all of mine a ways away from the actual cellar hole, out in the woods where loggers dropped them or in fields by old homesteads. Donnie seems to get one every time I get down to Ct. Here is a CT copper he found on Christmas 2 years ago(3rd pic). He cleaned it up and it was mint. I also enclosed a post of the 1754 2 reale and some British coppers and a large cent

Look at a picture of one and think of you find one for yourself. My buddy and I were hunting a field in Saratoga one day and I said I really want to find a King George Copper. Carl said what are you focusing on? I said an old silver half dollar. He said focus on an old copper. I did and found one 15 minutes later! He found an 1854 half dollar not long after. Good luck and remember the power of attraction.

Those are amazing finds!! I just have to find one of those....maybe this year..if I can get out far enough at low tide at some of the really old beaches around here. Thanks for the photos

I think you said you are from CT. If so try inland and you will be amazed at the goodies there. I would also recommend Greenwich area! (Hope too many lurkers do not read this) :)
