Finds from hunt with JeffinMass and today's NY loot !

First a big thank you to Jeff for the invitation and chance to hunt some new ground. Even though I didn't find much, it was great to get together with Jeff for the first time in about 10 years. Was amazing to watch him recover that half dollar. The thing was well worn but still a great find. I was stuck in wheat penny mode and dug 10 of them along with an unidentifiable copper coin. It is the size of a half cent but it has no detail what so ever to identify it. The trip seemed to act as a slump buster for me once I got back home. Yesterday I dug old nickel #76 for the year with what looks like a 1926 Buffalo nickel. It was also Buffalo nickel #41 for the year. Today, first good target I dug was a 1929 mercury dime just as Park Pirate was driving up. Followed that up with a nice 1904 Barber dime. Then came old nickel #77 (no date Buffalo). A while later old nickel #78 surfaced (1943-P war nickel). So I'm 2 nickels away from my goal of 80 for the year and 1 indian head cent away from my goal of 50. Weather looks good so hopefully will accomplish both goals this week ! Also pictured are some indian head cents and another nickel from earlier in the week.

Nice finds Ed! Sorry there weren't more of those types of goodies here for you, but I'm happy you were able to get so many keepers immediately after. I'm certain you'll surpass both goals!

Thanks again for the trip down Friday, and I'm looking forward to our next trip out. Keep kicking butt the rest of the year!
