Finds From Fridays Hunt

I was able to get out Friday for about 8 hours and hunt a park. In the afternoon I met a very nice gentleman that goes by the name "riversjourney" on this forum. I enjoyed meeting and hunting with you River. Thanks for coming out. Here is a quick list of Fridays finds: 44 memorial cents, 2 jefferson nickels, 11 clad dimes, 3 clad quarters, 6 wheat cents (1912, 1914, 1920, 1920-d, 1940, 1945), 1 silver 1939 quarter, a sterling money tree pendant, 1 Chucky Cheese token, 3 metal buttons, 2 pieces of costume jewelry, 1 pearl bead, and an apron full of junk. Can't wait for the next thaw. Daryl [attachment 254314 DSC00154coinsa.jpg][attachment 254315 DSC00156coins.jpg][attachment 254316 DSC00154coinsb.jpg]

Nice finds, all I got was 11 cents and alot of junk. I used the wrong coil, going smaller next thaw.

Nice finds Daryl and I'm glad you got to meet River. I hope he found some goodies on his maiden hunt with the CTX. Sorry I didn't get a chance to get out yesterday.

WOW! What a menagerie of finds. Too bad we couldn't join ya, but I'm still fighting that ear infection. I bet after 8 hours you were ready for a nice big hot bowl full of Star's chili !? Mmm, smells good too!

Congrats on the finds and thanks for sharing. Would have loved to met "riversjourney" also. HH, Nancy

Steve, Are you sure it was only the coil? :poke: Every cent counts. Hey, you weren't skunked, so that's a good day! HH, Nancy

Thanks Daryl for a great afternoon! It was a good day out hunting! I look forward to more hunts together as the weather becomes more cooperative. Today I took the CTX out to my yard for 30 minutes to spend a little more time to learn. And what do you know... I found a 1874 Indian Head penny! I tried to post a pic on here but it was to large. So I posted it on my Facebook. You can see it on Facebook. You can friend me at "Blane Crystal Rings" on Facebook if you would like. Thanks again for you hospitality yesterday and your words of encouragement as I transverse this new endeavor! River

Congratulations on the 1874 IH River, that is a good year and probably worth at least $20 sight unseen. One trick of many to reduce picture size is to send yourself the picture and when it asks you what size you want to send, choose Medium. Save the picture received and you are ready to post it.

Great tip Larry. River
