Finds from Diggin in VA

I'm finally getting around to getting the pictures off the camera from the DIV. It was a RIOT diggin with Bill Ladd and the infamous Horsesoldier. Man we had a lot of laughs! :lol:

The finds were hard to come by. You had to work hard for what you got. Here is my take from the weekend. Bullets, buttons and parts, knapsack triangle and so on....

I got this sling hook on the first day

It's pretty cool that the leather is still attached

Here is a nice eagle button I dug

I think this piece may be a poker chip :shrug: It was flattened out and then cut in half.

And finally....my heartbreaker from the weekend. I just knew this was an ID disk when I saw that eagle right in the middle of a Yankee camp. I was really bummed when I looked closer and saw "Half Dollar" I guess maybe a farmer lost it.
 
Nice ID disc :laugh:
But I shouldn't laugh as my "ID Disc" was an aluminum washer about the same size :ranting:
