Finds from City Point, VA Site

Here's what I've found one one site on private land since Nov 2009, from 6 trips. Though the land had been hunted in the past there's still quite a bit there. I'm still waiting for an eagle button.

First photo is of minies- I added the Spencer casing sine I had one to match the bullet; melted lead .69 ball and buckshot, carved lead, and pocket knife.

Misc items, most unidentified, spoon most likely 20th Century, and two Lincoln Cents dated 1927-D and 1940 something.

Finally the iron- horse shoes, railroad spikes, and other hardware.

You have a good bunch of relics there. Congraulations on all of them.

I hunted the City Point area about 30 yrs. ago and you are right that whole area is covered in relics. I suspect relics will be dug there and the Petersburg area for years to come. HH TopmB
