I started hunting the yard of an old house in NE Kansas a couple of weeks ago. You can tell by the wood work and the old in-ground swimming pool that this house was owned by someone very wealthy. My first day hunting there was March 31. I ended up pulling 4 Wheat cents, a 1906 Indian head penny, a 1942 Mercury dime, and a 1945 Washington quarter. I also got a pretty cool trade token for 2 1/2 cents to a billiards hall. My second trip over was this past Saturday. I spent the entire day there, and all I ended up with was an 1881 Indian head penny (my oldest penny to date) and a 1908 Indian head penny. I did not realize there was a run of those with a San Francisco mint mark, so I'll have to check mine after work. Sunday I went back for a pretty full day, and I pulled 4 more Wheat cents, an 1895 Indian head penny, and a 1964 Washington quarter. I still have over 50% of the yard to hunt, but I don't think it will produce as much. I did get some video, but I'm still working on putting that together. The most amazing thing is that I have only found 1 clad coin. One clad coin to 14 keepers is an awesome ratio I'd like to keep up.
