Finds from a wheelchair...

REVIER

Well-known member
Some of you might have noticed I have not been posting much lately but there is a reason.

At the end of June we moved from Kansas back to Alabama but lucky me the fates weren't kind and I had an accident...I fell off the back of the moving truck.
Fractured my left wrist and left heel which put me in a wheelchair for the forseeable future.
I hadn't dug a thing for over a month but it finally got to me and had to try.
I consider this a very successful hunt meager finds and all.
Hunting from a wheelchair is not easy, one arm makes it harder and I have yet to find a my tools so I have no Lesche or pinpointers...only this composite digger.
Still I managed to find stuff in my postage stamp sized lawn of my current home.
A few zinc and copper cents, an older gapping tool, the top tp an old razor and even a junk ring.
We addicts will always find a way, I guess, when you gotta dig, you gotta dig.

I am still monitoring the forum so keep posting those finds for me.
I will add mine as I am able.

Good to hear from ya Revier. Hey I use a scoop like that if I need to go deeper than the plug and also searching for items that fall thru the sand scoop.

Like I always say Rev
You can get a good man down but ya can't keep him there. Speedy recovery to you pal------IB

BUMMER!!! Sorry to here about your accident but I see you still have the hunting spirit.:stretcher: Hope you have a speedy recovery and please keep us posted.HH

You be careful if you are getting out. Dont push it. We want you back in good health. Take care... KEN from Ind.

You need a Digging assistant. When I had hand surgery I tried to recruit my wife but she would not do my digging for me. So I learned to do it one handed. Yes those of us who are addicted to this hobby will do almost anything for a fix. Hope you heal up quickly.

I am sorry about your accident. I hope you mend quickly. Just the other day I was thinking after almost a full day of detecting how sore I was. I sit at a desk job all week and then this last Saturday I was able to hunt for most of the day. I am still feeling it. I got nothing on you. Glad to see you got the detecting spirit in you. Maybe you can recruit a neighbor kid to dig for you and cut him in in some of the finds. Just an idea. Take it easy and get feeling better. I always enjoy reading your posts. HH

Nice find! I hope you recover fast and back to full enjoyment of detecting.

Any hunt is a good hunt for those of us who just like to get out and see what we can find. Way to go!
