Hey all. Had to go down to the big smoke today so I couldn't resist the temptation. Was 34 degrees C today so it was a little warm. I managed to get another gold ring today. Just under a flying fox thingy at about 4 inches. It is a bit mangled but gold is gold ! Got meself A$83.23 in change in 154 coins so my knees and back and neck and well everything is stuffed ! Got a few heart starters too. A gold (fake) ear ring that had me going for a bit. Have not managed to zing any gold ear rings yet, plenty of silver ones.

Not a bad pile of goodies Chris me boy. Feller could make a living just detecting in your part of the world. Wish I had known of the abundance of coins and goodies over there when I was young and frisky and able to pull up roots and hit the road when I felt like it. Got a good buddy who was always trying to talk me into hopping the pond to OZ. Should have taken him up on it.

At the moment it is the whole bloody state 'cause of the bush fires. Ha ha.

Any town bigger than 5000 is the big smoke for me !
It's a slang term for a large city.
Got it. I guess that means I live in a No Smoke.

Some place like Los Angeles, California would be a monster smoke huh Chris. When I moved there in the fifties they called it "the city 150 miles wide". More than double that now. They have city streets there over 60 miles long.
