Finds for today
What's the wheel off of?

Bill
Bill, not real sure. Looks like an old toy wagon wheel. It gave a heck of a solid signal :)

So far looks like the 2500 is a dime magnet. I did find 45 memorial cents as well though. I've been hunting in all metal mode, using the display as a reference and pretty much diggin up everything. I'm still trying to learn all the bells and whistles. Haven't figured out how to do the manual ground balance yet. Just been using the auto balance. Not sure if using manual would help. It seems I can crank the sens almost all the way up without it going nuts, unlike the Ace 250 which would false a lot if I went much past halfway. The depth is much better than what I could get with the Ace. I realize it has a lot to do with the soil I have around here, but so far, I'm pretty happy with the performance.

A couple of things I don't like. One is treasure talk. I did manange to find the kill switch on this though. The other thing is the size display. One of the quarters I found was at about 7.5 - 8 inches, and it showed up about the size of a sewer lid. All in all though, I'm pretty satisfied with it. I do want to try another whites machine. I had an Eagle Spectrum a few years back and it worked well for me, I just need to pick one up and do some side by side tests.

Well, enough rambling for now...

Great variety of finds Artemis. Is that a car wash token you got there? If it is a common one in your area and you might want to part with it, I would gladly trade with you for it. I collect tokens, and have a separate car wash token collection. This hobby has endless possibilities.... :)

John, No it's a Sunoco Antique Car Coin Series token. I have found a few of these in the past. If you are interested in it, email me your address, and I'll stick it in an envelope for ya.
