Finding stuff at 6" plus

Herm

New member
Well I got the Eclipse DD to work ( air test was shaky ). Went to the oldest parks in town pre 1900. So far the DD is more stable, and I have found stuff at 6" plus. I've been digging anything that's giving me a half decent signal, so far I'd say I haven't got a killer signal yet. One of the first coins I found was a 1930 wheatie at 6", I wasn't sure what I was digging this time, must have been some trash near by. Most the stuff I've dug have been round ring pull tabs (at 6" inches) with the tongue bent over in half, I've been getting like a penny dime reading on them and not rock solid, so I've been digging them. I'm hoping that the coins at 6" or deeper will give me more of a positive signal. Herm

When you pass over a coin at 6" it will hit full bar & be a small pattern. Once you hit one you will see the difference.

BULA, I agree with you 100%. I've been with the MXT for 2 yrs now and my learning curve on the penny/dime to pull ratio was that I started seeing the same thing you saw as to size of pinpointing the target and the tabs always seem to be a littlealarger than the penny/dime. And thanks for reminding me too. KC
