Since I got my f70 I have kind of neglected my tracker IV and my 505. Got to falling prey to envy of the guys running a small coil on their f70 and f75's and wishing I had one but the 135.00 price tag isn't happening right now! Then it dawned on me, I have a small 4" nugget coil for the bounty hunters! So I slapped the 4" on the tracker IV and after using the f70 around the basketball courts I went back over them with the tracker. What a joy! nice and quiet very light and it did a ripping job of sneaking out the good stuff from all the trash! Found just as much on the second pass as the first time!
Just because you equipment is not the newest, best-est, and most expensive, don't sell you self short with some lower end stuff, that dog will still hunt!!

You are so right! Theres a guy who lives here who has that 505 set up....He's out early and often and hits it hard ...I do not discount this guys equipment at all. He really pays attention to tear outs and festival schedules and stuff like that and tries to get there first..This guy doesnt have a car, he rides a bike and tows one of those kid buggys behind it and fills it with all sorts of stuff he finds, empty cans and whatnot, he's mid 50's, just sort of a local scrounger, not a bum, but not far off... This guy finds more in a month than most find in a year with top of the line equipment...its a hunting style and awareness that I have tried to adopt. I doubt many people even notice him. We are sort of on speaking terms, we know each others names and I talk to him and ask him what he's found lately and all that..I'd like to get his back story in sort of an interview type of thing, I think he might be comfortable enough to sit and chat a little someday...Anyway, those BH's are not something to scoff at..
