finding silvers

john sullivan

New member
i have been hunting for about a year, with a se pro so i am a newby.in my younger years i lived in the city , went hunting, fishing never really had a lot of luck once in awhile i would have some success but not often. then i move to the country bingo! always filled my basket. fishing where the fish are, hunting where the game is.
in the past year silvers were rare. the other day i hunted a one room school house, now a plowed field, bingo the first hour a 1899 barber au condition, 1935 walking liberty just as nice. gold plated ring, 4 wheats,
my point, if you are not finding silver you are hunting the wrong place.
after thought i no longer hunt or fish because i am spoiled, no challange. wondering if this happens in metal detecting?

You are correct John..My first ten years detecting in the good ol days , I was lucky to find few wheaties..Then I changed my statagy, pretty much find silver almost every time I go out now..I found four mercs this week , four times out..Off to a good start for the year.
