finding lead will gold be next?

JT Shooter

I've been searching about a dozen times with my mxt, and am consistently locating lead. I also find square nails that play games with the vdi #'s and have found iron that confirms the (-) vdi's.
If I'm finding lead bullets (8 today) should I get my dd coil over a nugget cam I expect a similar response (I guess I'm asking if I'm finding lead will gold be be do-able)? I am located in gold territory and am hunting old placer sites.

JT, since you state that you are in good gold territory, then IF the gold in your area is in nugget form, then yes, it will only be a matter of time (and perseverence) before you strike gold. On the other hand, as I state in "Advcanced Nuggetshooting - How to Prospect for Gold with a Metal Detector," ...."if there are is no gold [nuggets] there, you won't find any..." But, lets hope there ARE nuggets there, that you will find. HH Jim

I'm going to perservere, and when I get that dd coil over something good I'll make sure to put up a post!
I'm still toying with different sat and gain settings and hope to find the "right" combinaton that will give results that I can note.
