I was invited to help recover artifacts lost in Lake Julia at Buhl Park in Sharon Pennsylvania that was drained so the built up slip could be removed. I would guess that the slip was in some areas five foot deep. The lake has been there since 1915 and never drained since its opening. Here are some pictures of the finds. The most interesting find was a sterling silver bracelet with a girls name on it dated 1909. I also found a 1898 V nickle love token. There was a lot of Indian head penny's also along with some silver mercury dime and other silver coins. The Park will let us go back after the slip is removed to hunt it again along with the area where it was dumped. What a time I had not knowing what we were going to find. The was also a lot of bottles and we found a wood rudder of one of the old wooden boats that was used back then. My e-trac was smoking hot with all of my finds.
