I HAVE A DFX< AN JUST WONDERIN, DOES THE VISION GIVE BETTER INFO, ON GOLD RINGS? in other words can you better tell if it might be gold.

It does give you much more info. It does go deeper. You can eliminate more tabs (at a risk). I still dig as much aluminum as I did with my DFX. because the main jewelry place I hunt, I re-hunt so.... just want to clear stuff out for the following seasons. (My hour to jewelry ratio is decent and.....if it is a dedicated jewelry hunt...take all prisoners!) I really enjoy the whole process of predicting a target so garbage is not completely a negative.....especially when I'm wrong!

Probably not IMHO. Sure the V has lots of advanced tools to analyze targets, but when jewelry hunting there is no substitute for good ole elbow grease. The time it takes to analyze a target, you can get down and dig several maybes. The detector to give you an advantage on gold rings is yet to be invented.
