When arriving at a new beach one afternoon for some meditative detecting for an hour or so, I noticed a sign attached to a power pole that announced " Lost, gold ring, reward. Lost at the low tide area directly out from here"
Well, the tide here goes out a long way, this made it difficult to dig a target with out the sides of the hole calapsing in while the hole filled rapidly with water as fast as I dug. Surly any gold ring would sink as fast as I dug. I had a strong target to start with and 10" down of mad fast digging the signal remained the same.
What ever that target was, it was heavy, going down as fast as I was digging. Knowing my luck it was a small lead sinker.
Any tips Guys?
Good hunting.
