Finding an earring...

wbrian

New member
Hi All!
A year or so ago, my sister lost a diamond stud earring in her backyard. It's gold and a rather large diamond. I have an ACE 250. Any suggestions on settings to use to try and find this for her? I have the sniping coil for the 250 as well,m if that'll help.

Thanks!
Brian
(BTW, this is my childhood backyard, so who knows what old toys of mine I might find!)

Take the other matching earring and scan it , then notch out everything but a couple notches close
to where it sounded on the matching earring , then go hunting , you should be able to find it.

sg121 has the right info for you. Good luck and let us know if you find it. I have detected the yard where I grew up also. My Dad built the house in 1963. No great finds.....yet

Put it in all metal and have at it. The 250 does well on smal items. But being small that earring will be tough to find unless you get real lucky.

Great info from the others. I agree about testing the other one, notch out everything other wise and start a search INCH BY INCH. If it's there you will find it with the 250!!
Good luck and keep us posted......
