Finding an ancient treasure

hi :)

there are plenty of ancient artifacts where i live and fortunatly the ancients were wise enough to mark the whereabouts of places that they hid these stuff.
how ever UNFORTUNATLY you have to figure out the exact spot yourself.

so here is the situation :

1) i found one of these places where i know for sure there's something buried there (in 1-2 meters depth).

2) the area that i must search is something like 500 square meter AND the soil has a bit of clay in it.

3) the tresure could be iron or gold or copper or a mix of these and it should have a considrable diameter( at least size of a big pot).

now my problem is that in iran its illegal to sell ancient artifacts lol so buying detectors is kinda restricted.
i have to build my own detector , i know a lil bit of circuits and microprocessors since i'm a computer student and i can learn more if needed.
i did a little home work and i think i should go for a PI detector but i'm not sure yet since the soil has clay.
just wanted to ask some guys with more experience with detectors and fields ,that what kind of detector and what kind of coil is recommanded for this situation?

Last_Rebel, you need to google Carl Moorland and go to his Geotech forum site. He has ALL the Circuits and Such to on there to help you BUILD a Very Modern and Sophisticated PI Detector. There is also a section on Building Coils and SOO Much More!!
Happy Hunting and Building.
ps buy the Book Inside the Metal Detector to gain insight into MD Theory and join the forums to get technical advice on building your own Detector. It will be just as good as Most any Store Bought Unit.

I have been doing this for 12 years now and it is a blast to get a machine built and running and then find stuff with it.

thank you guys you've been of great help with both useful information AND ofc positive spirit ! :beers:
i shall get started !
