Finding a lot more rings nowadays...Silver & Troy x2

Getting used to running very low discrimination-Lotta digging but waaay more "finds".

Finally scored a Gold ring & gave it to my wife. But since -They have all been trash.Mood rings that lost the mood & trinket ones from India...But 5 rings in one week from the same park?. Well thats a record for me.

Tried a old favorite spot-very hunted. But this one still rang loud now that I had toned down the disc.... Seriously bent but I was able to gently get it somewhat round again & my oldest daughter likes it.

One guy reported finding 4 of these over time . They are not terribly rare but I like the Hartford elk in full relief & the enamel is still bright!
According to e-bay & google they are giveaways from the 50's from Hartford insurance group & their name is stamped on both ends of the adjustable bands.
Sorry 'bout the edits-tired & forgot to add the details..
Cheers!

Back in the 50's Firemen would come to the local elementary schools and give us kids talks on fire safety . They would hand out those rings and sometimes Shield badges . I remember getting one of those rings as a kid , it was a big deal ( of course I lost it ) . I have found a few of those rings and one of the shield badges . It must have been good old lead based paint they used because most all the items I found had most of the paint on them .
